Price screen help guide

You can access a range of information on Sharemark traded investments on this website.  The Price display page, which can be accessed by clicking on 'Traded company info' shows all the investments that can be traded on Sharemark, along with their:

  • Current price - this could be:
    • Indicative price - this will show if there are bids and offers in the current auction which match.
    • Highest bid - this will show if the bids and offers in the current auction don't match. It's the highest price that someone is prepared to pay for 1 unit/share.
    • Lowest offer - this will show if there are no bids in the current auction. It's the lowest price that someone is prepared to accept per unit/share.
    • Start price - this will show if there has never been any trading on Sharemark and there are no bids or offers in the current auction.
  • Last dealt price - the price the investment last traded at.
  • Change - the difference between the last dealt price and the current indicative price.
  • Sale volume - the total number of shares for sale on Sharemark, in the current auction, across all prices.
  • Purchase volume - the total number of shares required on Sharemark, in the current auction, across all prices.
  • Next auction - the date of the next auction.  Remember you can enter orders at anytime in the build up to an auction, except for one hour immediately preceding the auction.

This page also shows what the Company is using Sharemark for.  For example a Company with a * to the left of its name has a 'monitored market'.

  • Single traded company - the only 'market' the company is using is Sharemark.
  • Loan Stock - loan stock as opposed to an equity.
  • Closed market - the Company controls who can view certain information on it and who can enter orders to buy and sell its shares.
  • Monitored market - Anyone can enter an order to buy or sell shares, but the Company may choose to prevent that order being dealt.

Clicking on a Company name on the 'Price display screen' will give you access to further information on the Company, including a list of all the orders for the current auction, historic price information, announcements, financial information and a company profile.  If you'd like to develop a further understanding of the Sharemark price screens, then please see below:
