Overview
The Company was established as the holding company of London Irish Rugby Football Club Limited in 1997 and its principal business is the operation of London Irish Scottish Richmond Ltd. As a member of Rugby Football Union and Premier Rugby Limited, the Club play in the Guinness Premiership, the LV= Cup and a European competition each season. The Club's turnover is generated from three main sources; rugby income including gate receipts, season tickets and membership, commercial income including club and match sponsorship, hospitality, match day advertising, programme sales and the sale of merchandise and central income generated by Premier Rugby from league and cup sponsorship, television media rights and competitions, which is distributed to the clubs. The Board of London Irish has the discretion to approve all purchase orders for shares, and may use that discretion to reject a purchase order.
