Lo-Q plc

Overview
Formed in August 2000, Lo-Q is a UK registered company with active subsidiary companies in the USA and Canada. Their principal business activity is the design, installation and operation of systems which allow members of the public to make ride and show reservations when they visit a theme park or other similar attractions. Having made a reservation they do not then have to wait in the normal queue. They access the ride through a special entrance that is reserved for users of the system. Their flagship product is a virtual queuing system for theme parks. The concept of the product and company arose because of a wait in line by Leonard Sim (Director) and his family in a Florida theme park in the 1990s. The ride then broke down which meant that the 2 hour wait had been a waste of time. The company has installations in a number of countries, the majority of the sites being in the USA. In the UK, Legoland Windsor uses the system.
